Winning team wins Sectional Champs Plaque and 2^nd place team wind runner-up Sectional Plaque

WINNING TEAM AND TOP 5 INDIVIDUALS NOT ON THE WINNING TEAM ADVANCE TO THE STATE MEET IN EACH VARSITY RACE.

It was a good race for us. Despite missing two of our top 5 runners (Jack Fozard to injury and Tom Wray), the team posted an 18:43 team time average on a wet course and placed 9^th of 15 teams in a very deep field. The course was running

Approximately 30 seconds slow on the day. 

Senior Matt Maliniak ran a courageous race. He went out strong but smart and put himself in position to qualify for the State Meet. With less than 700 meters to go, he was the seventh individual in the race. He was still close with 200 meters to go and gave it all he had. His final place does not tell the real story of his race or how close he was to making States.

With our number 3-10 runners and more returning, the future is bright for the team. Many of our freshman ran their only their 2^nd ever 5K and first 5K at Bowdoin.

The Somers Boys Athlete of the Meet goes too, Freshmen Thomas Hannon who ran 19:57 breaking the 20 Minute mark only has a Freshmen! all of our young guys ran awesome today and next year and the year after we will be competing for a Section 1 Class Championship and than Hopefully for a State Title once again at Somers!

The Boys Athlete of the Meet goes to JR  Jack Fozard! who ran a time of 18:41 on a very hot day! and was the teams Number 1 runner for the day has well! Awesome Job Jack!

Boys Results from Big Red!

This Year the boys raced in the D1 race and placed 6th with 139 points and Average 18:54 for the top 5! at this point of the season already that is a great Average for the boys. Also the girls placed 5th overall in the D1 race with 144 points with an Average of 22:59 for there top 5. Which is also a great average has well.

Also the Freshman Boys got 2nd overall with 75 points out of 7 teams...
