Today was the first day of school and the Somers Cross Country team has reached another milestone. Last year the team finished the season with 55 athletes on the team. Today 62 athletes were at practice, marking the biggest total ever. With 40 boys and 22 girls the team looked like a small army as they warmed up on campus today. Most runners did a tempo run on the course they will race this weekend at the 9th Annnual Big Red Invitational. 30 teams will toe the line this weekend and tackle the challenging course.
