TRACK SHOVELING
Any boys and girls interested in trying to get our track back are encouraged to head over to Somers HS Sunday afternoon with PLASTIC shovels and try and clear lane 1. From there we'll try and get lane two back. If we all pitch in we can do this! TEAM WORK!

Friday 12/18 - Freshman/Sophomore Champs - Rockland Community College
2:30pm bus - 4:30pm start - all 9th and 10th graders are attending this meet unless noted.
Friday 12/18 - Jim Mitchell Invitational - The Armory - 4:15pm bus - 7pm start
MEET INFO - DIRECTIONS - All 11th and 12th graders are attending plus a few frosh/sophs.
Saturday 12/19 - Bishop Loughlin Games - The Armory
Girls 4x800m "A" and "B" Teams. A = Marenghi, Hashmall, O'Connell, Tillman; B = Cavaliere, Roediger, Kruger, Baiano (Corning). Girls arrive at 12:45pm. Boys 4x200m, 4x400m, 4x800. 5pm bus.

Kick Off Meet: Tillman races to US#1
Junior Crosby Tillman won the 1500m Race Walk in 7:27, a new US leader early in the season. Tillman's best last year was 7:17. Robert Gorecki was 3rd in the 3200m run in 10:01. The boys 4x4 ran 3:41 to place 2nd - and the sprinters showed they are ready for a great season. Much more to come.

15 Boys finish "Badge of Honor Workout"
The boys varsity distance crew accomplished something today that no other squad has: 15 Tuskers finished the "Badge of Honor Workout". 40x200m.
The workout consists of 5 X (8x200m) with declining rest (90-75-60-45-30 seconds).
Robert Gorecki, Isaac Shelby, Brendan McDonnell, Alex Fusco, John Courtien, Charles Conway, Mike Persic, Scott Friedman, David Sammel, Mike Rosillo, Justin Zorn, Kai Crannell, Ryan Matsumoto, Frankie Licursi, Ben D'Urso.
The team has been doing this workout since 2004 and every single top distance has found a way to get through this workout. Quote of the day "I'm not even tired" - Charles Conway AFTER he finished. We are getting there boys!

Big Chill Results and Highlights
It was cold and the weather got worse as the day went on but the Somers Tuskers still had a good day at The Big Chill Relays at Yorktown HS. RESULTS HERE
