Lisowski and Prato set shot put relay school record at New Balance Games

BOYS at the New Balance Games
Dan Lisowski and Victor Prato placed third in the shot put relay at the New Balance Games, at the Armory on Saturday, January 22, 2011. The team total was 93' 6 which breaks the school record previously held by Nick DeBellis and Billy Wortner of 89'6". Dan Lisowski threw the shot 49' 3.25" and Victor Prato heaved the shot put 44' 2.75". While it wasn't their best day, it was a great result in tough competition.
Chris Groton and Joe Hanley also threw well, placing 7th overall, just one place out of the medals with a team distance of 85' 2". Chris Groton recorded yet another personal best with an impressive throw of 43' 1/2". Joe Hanley threw the shot put 41' 9".

The boys 4 x 800 Meter Relay recorded a season best time of 8:19.07 and placed 18th overall.
Scott Friedman - 2:03.7, Isaac Shelby - 2:03.1, Justin Zorn - 2:09.3, Charles Conway - 2:02.9.

Brendan McDonnell posted a personal best time of 2:07.5 on the Sprint Medley Relay, running a great race and finishing very well. Charles Conway also posted an impressive time of 25.0 on the 200 meter leg in the Sprint Medley Relay to show some speed.

Chris Lucaj leaped 38' 8" in the triple jump for an indoor personal best.

GIRLS at the New Balance Games
The girls 4 x 800 meter relay team ran very well, recording a time of 10:11.39 FAT, even while missing Maggie Hashmall, who is nursing a minor injury and is resting for the County Meet. The team placed 34th of 83 teams.
Jackie Kruger - 2:31.1 - PR, Eve Marenghi - 2:28.8, Bene Abbate - 2:37.3, Crosby Tillman - 2:33.3. Juliette Cooper also ran very well on the B team, posting a time of 2:35.5.

The 4 x 200 meter relay team ran very well and posted a season best with a time of 1:53.08 FAT (1:52.9 hand time). Katy Kleinberg - 28.8, Emily Polvere - 28.2, Cece Elmore - 27.8, Kim Walsh - 27.6

The shot put relay team of Allysa Huber and Anna Wortner both posted personal bests to place 11th overall with a team distance of 56' 6". Alyssa Huber posted a PR of 29' 1.5" and Anna Wortner posted a PR of 27' 4.5". Justine Huber also posted a PR toss of 24' 1".
