CONGRATS TO THE GIRLS TEAM WHO WON THE CLASS B COUNTY TEAM TITLE AT THE ARMORY ON SUNDAY. The team won handily over Pelham 42-29. The girls team also placed ninth overall in the County in the Open Division and the Public School Division with 21 points. This is the ninth Class B County Title in 10 years for the girls team.
THE BOYS TEAM ALSO HAD A GOOD DAY WITH A FIFTH PLACE OVERALL FINISH IN THE OPEN DIVISION OF THE COUNTY MEET WITH 25 POINTS. The boys also placed third in the Overall Public Schools Division with 44 points behind only New Rochelle and Mount Vernon and ahead of Harrison.
The boys team placed second in the Class B scoring in a very tight competition to Harrison, 37.95 to 39.5 points with 5-3-1 point scoring. Harrison is currently the number one ranked Class B team in NY State (Somers is #4). We will be right in the mix to win the Class B Sectional title in two weeks.
