Tusker boys win Big Red with 17:06 average

Led by senior Captain Charles Conway the Tuskers won their home invitational 31-109 over New Fairfield, CT.  Somers put all 5 scorers in front of New Fairfield's number one runner.

Conway placed 2nd in 16:36.0, which was 45 seconds faster than last year.  Next in was Scott Friedman in 5th place at 17:02 (28 seconds faster), Dave Sammel in 7th at 17:08 (38 seconds faster), sophomore Justin Zorn in 8th at 17:22 (frosh race last year), and Isaac Shelby in 9th at 17:23 (38 seconds faster).

Ryan Matsumoto had his best race ever placing 12th overall in 17:34 (1:58 faster).  He clearly is going to be a player for the top 5 all season long.  7th man on the day Kai Crannell ran 18:16 to place 24th.
