TRAFFIC NOTE:
There have been construction delays as long as 30-40 minutes on route 22. The back up starts at the route 312 and route 22 junction and can back up all the way to I-684. Allow for extra time or plan an alternate route. It depends on time of day so the delays may not be there but the delays could be significant.

$10 PARKING FEE  - CARPOOL!

All spectator parking will be at Pawling High School where non-stop spectator buses will transport to and from the Park.

The trip is about two or three minutes and the wait is about 5-10 minutes, so spectators who arrive 15 minutes before their desired race should have no worries about getting there in time. We did have a few out of over 2000 who showed up at the last minute and were a little panicky.

Parking is $10 per vehicle regardless of the number of passengers and this money will help offset the shuttle buses which are free to all. No parking will be allowed on side streets without risk of being towed or ticketed.

Girls and Boys Dominate JV League Champs

Though a nasty rain was falling all week, the Somers boys and girls JV teams took to the trails at Somers HS on a new 2.5 mile course and won both JV league titles.

Brendan McDonnel placed 2nd overall in 14:41, to an 8th grader from Carmel who is probably in Carmel's top 5.  His time of 14:41 was a PR for 2.5 and continues his breakout season.  Mike Persic was 4th in 15:20, out kicking Alec Budd from Brewster.

Then three Tusker sophomore streamed across the line in 6th, 7th, and 8th.  Ben D'Urso ran 15:36, John Courtien 15:38, and Mike Polevere 15:38 to close out the scoring.  The boys beat Brewster 27-40 and averaged 15:22.  Note that Alex Fusco and Mike Maloney are both out hurt right now.

Freshman Larry Courtien and Jesse Rinaldi 13th and 14th to earn medals as the teams 6th and 7th men.  The two ran 16:22 and 16:26, respectively.

The girls won the meet with a perfect score of 15-45 over Mahopac.  It was a pack effort as Kristi LiCursi led the way in 3rd and saw her 4 teammates sweep the next 4 places in 21 seconds.  Freshman Christine Nolan was timed in 19:47, the same as LiCursi.  Sarah Barr ran 20:03, Olivia Meyers 20:07, and freshman Katie Ross 20:08.  Jenna Fulton was the 6th girl in 11th place, running 21:19.
